The effects of early childhood preschool education |
The importance of pre-school education:
Pre-school education is a stage of a child's development and a period of
building and establishing his/her personality. it is a stage of growth,
development, acquisition and formation, during which the child is built
physically, mentally, behaviorally, educationally and cognitively, and the
child is able to integrate into the society around him.
The importance of pre-school education lies in its positive and effective
contribution through its positive impact on the child's scientific future in
terms of academic achievement and personality in general, and through the
development of the child's cognitive, motor and life skills with the aim of
establishing a successful individual and a citizen capable of contributing to
the development of his society
In addition to the place that pre-school education occupies in the child's
cognitive and social life, we also find that it reassures parents about the
academic path of their children, not to mention its pivotal role in relation to
the goals set by the state, which are mainly represented in raising the rate of
continuity and fighting school wastage.
The effects of pre-school education on society and its development:
• the growth of an entire sector to
promote pre-school education.
• the education of young girls, by
integrating them into school life at an early age.
• reducing social inequalities at an
early stage.
• long-term investment in human
resources.
The effects of preschool education on parents:
1-Parental
reassurance: quality pre-school education
reassures and encourages parents as the task is entrusted to competent
professionals who are concerned with raising children at this stage.
2-Reduced health
expenditures: minimize health expenditures
as preschool education develops and consolidates the rules of hygiene and
disease prevention.
3-Saving costs in
education: parents save effort and
resources through better academic success for their children.
Objectives of developing life skills for children in the preschool stage:
The preschool stage is of great importance in a child's life, and its
importance comes from the fact that it prepares the foundation for the
formation of his personality, as habits and skills are formed at this stage
that are difficult to get rid of in later stages of development, and the skills
that are not formed at this stage are difficult to form at later stages of
development.
life skills are a set of skills that
the child acquires through education and experience that help him deal
effectively with the issues he faces, so it is very important for the child at
this early stage so that the child can live independently and take
responsibility for himself one day, so you as an educator must develop in him
the basic skills that will be the key to his success which will be the key to
his success in life today and tomorrow.
Because life skills are not born with the child, we have to teach them to him
in stages, starting from simple daily situations and according to his age, in
order to achieve the following goals:
• teaching children to respect
others.
• the child's interaction with the
people around them, taking into account their feelings and respecting their opinions.
• enhancing the child's
self-confidence, self-understanding, and ability to feel independent.
• providing the child with some
positive behaviors.
• facing issues and difficulties and
finding appropriate solutions.
• increase the ability to learn and understand.
